SLEEP DISORDERS 2

RECENTLY A VISITOR TO THIS SITE, A SUFFERER OF NARCIOLEPSY, EXPRESSED HIS INTEREST IN THIS TOPIC, AND MADE SOME POINTS FOR ADDITION TO THE INFORMATION.

WE ARE VERY THANKFUL TO THE GENTLEMAN, FOR HIS POINTS, AND FOR HIS PERMISSION TO ADD THE EMAIL TO THE SITE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW.

I was a little surprised to read about Narcolepsy on the UPIA web site.

Being a full blown Narcoleptic, I can agree with much of the statement published on that site.

One small point though, Narcolepsy is not a disease.

It is a genetic related defect of the brain, affecting in particular the higher area of the thalamus. A very small but very important area of the brain that controls all incoming and out going nervous, electrical and chemical messages.

About 20% of the population carry the gene but only around 0.002% developed this condition.

It is not known why this should be the case. It is however very unfortunate for those who do. Narcolepsy is also very much in individual condition, in that every Narcoleptic has different experiences. The falling asleep symptom being the one real connection.

As I stated, I have been classified as being a full blown Narcoleptic, which means I suffer with almost every symptom that is known about and perhaps a few more.

As such I went through a fifteen year period of Alien type of abduction experiences.

It was rather like living two lives. One when awake and another when asleep.

I took a lot of self analysis to find out what was going on but I think that in the end I got it more or less right.

My little friends then came and said goodbye and I have not seen them since, although they did promise to return.

So far so good. I must admit that in some ways I miss them. That would take to long to explain

why, suffice to say the worst part of the experiences was going into the Hypnagogic

Hallucinations.

Once I got use to these beings they were quite amusing and very informative.

This may sound funny to you, as it comes across that I believe they were real.

I in fact do not but at the time it is very hard to think of them as anything else.

I did draw and paint a number of pictures about them and what I got up to with them.

In fact a few of them have been published through the likes of Dr. Susan Blackmore in both her public and technical publications.

She always refers to me as a contactee, which I have tried to put her right on.

I do not in anyway consider myself to be a contactee, if that means I have actually had contact with Aliens not of this world, in any way.

I thought my notes might interest you and perhaps you could have the web site adjusted

to state what Narcolepsy really is, which is a Medical Condition.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

D.H
